Located at the far western boundary line is a greenhouse that is made of stone, tinder and brick. This was built around the time of the Civil War, when the Haines opened the Cheltenham Nurseries on the property. The nursery was unique for the time, and included many rare plantings, some of which remain on the property today, and are considered historic.
